The West Australian Region of the Australasian Hydrographic Society invites AHS members and guests to attend a technical afternoon 13:30 to 17:30 on 17th May 2018 at:

Fremantle Port Authority, 1 Cliff St, Fremantle WA, 1st Floor. 

This meeting aligns with a Perth meeting of Ports Australia Hydrographic Survey Working Group.  Members and guests are welcome to join networking afterwards at a local venue for food and drinks (purchase your own).  Presentations will include:

Geodesy and Oceanography - Mick Filmer, Curtin University 

Cable Survey in Australia  - Kam Austin, EGS

Improvements to the monitoring and forecasting of sea levels in the Australia region and the determination of the secular variations at the SEAFRAME stations - Bill Mitchell, Bureau of Meteorology

Pilbara Ports & Hydroids - Neil Hewitt, Precision hydrographic Services

Discovering New Ground – The Archaeology of Mapping Australia’s Coast – Dr Ross Anderson, Maritime Archeology
