Brought to you by the SSSI Hydrography Commission and the Australasian Hydrographic Society
The theme for 2016 World Hydrography Day is ‘The importance of hydrography for sustainable seas and waterways’. The theme is intended to focus attention on the fundamental importance of hydrography and our knowledge of the shape, nature and depth of the seafloor as a fundamental requirement for the proper, safe, sustainable and cost effective use of the world’s seas, oceans and waterways.
We invite you to join us for celebrating Hydrography on this occasion!
We are planning for a number of presentations and this cannot be achieved without the industry’s valuable support and involvement. Presentations will run for 20 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for any questions from delegates.
The event is a great chance to meet up with other professionals in the hydrographic industry (including academic and students with interest in hydrography) in an informal way, in order to establish and maintain a ‘hydrographic community’ in South Australia.
This event will accrue Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points at the rate of one point per hour of presentations.
