HYDROGRAPHY – “WORKING WITH NATURE”
The Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute in conjunction with the Australasian Hydrographic Society will be holding a major hydrography event to be held on 15th February 2018.
Nature is easy to deal with on land but complex in a maritime environment. If you’re a land surveyor, engineer, project manager, survey data end user, then this seminar is right for you.
Understand how your inland, coastal, near and off shore data is influenced by the environment, the methods employed to gather and process based upon Nature’s influences and surveying to monitor nature. Why you can’t always get what you want and what you should really be asking for.
On the day, there will also be a great opportunity for an Open Forum. The Nation is embarking on a never before seen expanded hydrographic survey and geospatial data collection activity. For the hydrographic surveying, you need to know hydrographic surveying and therefore certified hydrographic surveyors are key to the implementation. With a base knowledge in land surveying or an allied survey discipline, you could become a certified hydrographic surveyor and participate in this billion dollar activity through to 2024 and beyond.
Come and discuss your pathways with the Certification Panel and SSSI Hydrography Commission Committee.
