IIC Academy is pleased to announce that enrolments are now open for the 2024 deliveries of the IBSC* Recognised S-5B Hydrographic Surveyor and S-8B Marine Geospatial Programs.
The S-5B Hydrographic Surveyors Program will commence September 2024. This Program comprises 13 weeks of theoretical training followed by 9 weeks of practical and assessment. Students have up to 23 weeks to complete the theoretical training via online self-paced instructor supported learning. As hydrographic surveying is a practical discipline the 9-week practical brings the students and instructors together for enjoyable and intensive 9-week hands-on learning and assessment period.
The S-8B Nautical Cartographers Program will be delivered as a 22-week Global Delivery, maximising online learning methods and will also commence in September 2024. This Programme provides students with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge and skills required to undertake Nautical Chart production.
IIC are pleased to announce that the S-5B Practical has practical has been fully revamped to ensure the best possible outcomes for students and a new Learning Management System has been introduced for both upcoming Programs to further improve the students learning experience.
These programs are for anyone and we are keen to see them utilised to grow the industry, so if you have friends, year 13 students or others you know who might be interested in pursuing a career in hydrography or cartography please pass this information to them as well.
