  On Wednesday 6 May 2026, the Australasian Hydrographic Society and the Port of Newcastle are co-hosting a Hydrography seminar in Newcastle, NSW, Australia.

  Attendance

  The meeting will be managed mainly as an in-person event, but participation through VTC will remain possible for those unable to travel. 

  Self Pay Dinner (limited seats 25 PAX)

  As part of the Hydro Seminar event, there is a dinner at the Dock Yard (self pay by individuals) and final numbers for catering are due 1 May. Please choose the registration with dinner booking options to book you in for the dinner.

  Join the Australasian Hydrographic Society (AHS) in celebrating World Hydrography Day 2026 at Novotel Wollongong Northbeach. This annual event brings together hydrographic professionals, industry leaders, and emerging practitioners for a day of knowledge sharing, professional development, and networking.

  Theme

  "Transforming how ocean data is shared"

  This year’s theme focuses on the evolving landscape of ocean data and its accessibility. While presentations are encouraged to align with this theme, broader topics relating to hydrographic data sharing are also welcomed.

  Call for Presenters

  The AHS invites members of the hydrographic surveying community to present at the event.

  Presentations will be:

  • 15 minutes duration
  • 5 minutes for questions

  Topics do not need to be strictly limited to the theme; however, relevance to data sharing and its impact on the profession is encouraged.

  Please note:

  • Presentations should not include extensive organisational history or background
  • Reference to products or services is acceptable where relevant to the topic
